1. 100% Made-to-Order Custom Goods
Under Section 4 of our Customer Terms, all products manufactured by Majaako Crafts—including wedding invitations, thank-you notes, visiting cards, bottle labels, wax seals, and event signage—are custom-designed and printed strictly to customer specifications.
Because personalized goods possess zero commercial resale value once produced, standard retail return, exchange, or "change of mind" refund rights do not apply under Indian consumer contract law.
2. Stage-Based Cancellation & Refund Structure
We understand that family plans and event schedules may occasionally change. To remain fair to both customers and our craft studio, cancellation eligibility is determined strictly by the production stage reached at the time of your written request:
Stage A: Pre-Design
Status: Advance paid, but design drafting has not yet commenced.
Refund: 100% Refund of advance paid, less payment gateway processing fee (if applicable).
Timeline: Within 5–7 business days.
Stage B: Proof Drafted
Status: Digital proof created and shared, but not yet approved.
Refund: Advance refunded minus a nominal design setup fee (₹300 to ₹500 to cover graphic design labor).
Timeline: Within 5–7 business days.
Stage C: Proof Approved
Status: Written proof approval given ("Approved to print").
Refund: 50% Advance is Strictly Non-Refundable. Raw paper stocks have been cut, and CTP plates have been exposed.
Stage D: Production Complete
Status: Physical printing and finishing completed.
Terms: 100% Invoice Due. Cancellation is strictly impossible. Order cannot be abandoned or refused.
3. Proof Approval & Text Responsibility
Under Section 5 of our Customer Terms, the customer bears the sole legal responsibility for proofreading and verifying all aspects of the digital proof prior to granting approval, including:
- Spelling of names (bride, groom, parents, family members, dignitaries).
- Tamil and English typography, transliteration accuracy, and cultural wording.
- Event dates, days, muhurtham timings, venue names, and Google Map links / QR codes.
- Contact phone numbers, RSVPs, and social media handles.
Print-to-Proof Warranty: Majaako Crafts prints strictly to the final approved digital proof. If an error in spelling, date, or phone number exists in the approved proof, Majaako Crafts is not liable, and free reprints cannot be provided. However, we offer an empathetic at-cost reprint fee (charging only for paper and ink, waiving design labor).
4. Genuine Manufacturing Defects & Errors
If our studio introduces an error that deviates from your approved proof, we stand fully behind our craft under Section 7 of our Customer Terms:
- Qualifying Defects: Physical printing defects (ink blotches, severe streak lines), incorrect paper stock used (different GSM or finish from quotation), missing pages or lines present in the approved proof, or cutting misalignment exceeding ±2mm.
- Reporting Deadline: The defect must be reported in writing within 48 hours of delivery with high-resolution photos and video evidence.
- Remedy: Upon verification, Majaako Crafts will, at its sole discretion, either:
- Prioritize an immediate, expedited reprint and dispatch of the defective items at zero additional cost to you; or
- Issue a proportionate refund for the quantity of defective units.
5. Refusal of Parcel & Abandoned Orders
Under Section 7.4 of our Customer Terms:
- Refusal of Delivery: Refusing to accept a dispatched parcel from the courier does not constitute a valid cancellation or entitle the customer to any refund.
- Unclaimed Finished Goods: If an order is manufactured but the customer fails to pay the final 50% balance or coordinate delivery for more than 30 calendar days despite multiple notifications, the order will be deemed legally abandoned. Abandoned goods may be destroyed or recycled to protect customer privacy, and all advance deposits will be forfeited.
6. Refund Processing Methods & Timelines
Where a refund is sanctioned under Stage A or Stage B:
- Refunds are credited back strictly to the original source payment method (UPI account, net banking, or debit/credit card).
- Processing takes 5 to 7 business days depending on your banking provider's settlement schedule.
- A written credit confirmation note and transaction reference number will be provided via email or WhatsApp.
